F1 Grand Prix

I've always loved the area of Sports since I got into quizzing. Out of numerous sports, F1 was a sport which I followed with keen interest. 

In this post I'll be sharing some interesting facts about the history and records of this fascinating sport. I've discussed about some of the all time greats of F1 as well, which includes Michael Schumacher (without doubt the best ever driver in the history of the game) and Juan Manuel Fangio.

  •  When was the 1st ever F1 Grand Prix Championship held – 1950
  • In which circuit was the 1st race of F1 in 1950 was held – Silverstone, UK
  • Who became the 1st ever F1 Champion in 1950 – Giuseppe Farina (Italy); (Constructor - Alfa Romeo)

Michael Schumacher and Ferrari won an unprecedented five consecutive drivers’ championships and six consecutive constructors’ championships between 1999 and 2004. Schumacher set many new records, including those for Grand Prix wins (91), wins in a season (13 of 18), and most drivers' championships (7)

  1. Hey Deran. Jimmie Angel was born in 1899. How can he discover the falls in the 12th Century? :) I guess that is something you should edit. He discovered it in the 1930s quite accidentally, from what I know.

    Many thanks for pointing this out, it has to be 20th century, that he figured out Angel Falls, and I've put it as "12th century"....I'll rectify my post :)
